Everton offers £25m for Southampton midfielder Emile Hojbjerg
As per the new reports,Everton has landed the deal with Southampton on signing the midfielder Pierre Emile Hojbjerg. They have agreed upon a deal for £25 million are the speculations regarding the transfer is about. Hojbjerg was one of the targets of Tottenham Hotspur and it seems like they have offered another deal for the player. It is too late for the Spurs to make such an offer with Everton have made the deal.
Spurs have wanted to sign the player for a long time and the player has been the captain of the team. But lately has been stripped off the captaincy as his future at the club remains uncertain and his contract with the club will be expiring on next year.
The Southern Daily has reported that the club has agreed to a potential transfer of £25 million and the reports suggest that the player has been to the Everton home ground and has agreed with terms related to the deal. Despite this Tottenham has intervened to the deal says the report by Telegraph. Even though their bid is late they want to have him transferred to North London.
Spurs have to bring out a better deal than Everton if they want to sign the player. Or else the player will be transferred to Goodison Park. As per the report, Everton’s first bid was for £18 million and it was turned down by Southampton. Their next offer was £25 million which was agreeable to the team. It seems like the long term interests of Hojbjerg, Spurs have been warned that if they won’t satisfy the need of transfer money the player will not be transferred.
Hojbjerg has also been linked the Dutch club Ajax but the player is interested in playing in Champions League.
